Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept all major debit and credit card payments as well as Nochex online payments. We can only accept payments from within UK and for the time being we can deliver cakes and party food only to the certain areas specified under Shipping & Handling section further down this page.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Our terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Shipping And Handling
Delivery Area and Costs
You can either collect you order from our shop at 737 Garratt Lane Wandsworth LONDON SW17 0PD and pay nothing, or we can deliver your order to your door. However our delivery area at the moment covers only parts of Berkshire and Surrey as explained below.

Where can we get to?
Because we know how vulnerable cakes can be if they are in the wrong hands, we have spent a lot of time trying to find courier partners that we can be sure will look after your cakes as tenderly as we do...
And we're still looking! That's why for the time being, unfortunately we can't cover the whole of UK. The delivery area for cakes and party food we can cover at the moment includes part of Berkshire and Surrey as follows:
  • Ascot (SL5)
  • Bracknell (RG12 and RG42)
  • Wokingham (RG40 and RG41)
  • Windlesham (GU20) and
  • Windsor (SL4)

The cost of the delivery to the above areas is a flat fee of £5.95. So the more you order the better!
All cakes are packed carefully in a presentation box and if you require, with a free gift card message from the sender.

What about the rest of the UK?
One day, but not at the moment. Sorry.
Delivery Schedule
Free Collection
You may collect your order free of charge from our store at 737 Garratt Lane Wandsworth LONDON SW17 0PD on the day you have specified in the "Required Date" field. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. If for some reason you are unable to collect on the day specified, we will hold the cake for you for another day but we cannot be held responsible for its freshness. Unfortunately we cannot keep your orders for party food over night.

Delivery - All items except Cakes and Party Food
For all order excluding cakes and party food, we dispatch your order right away. It will normally take two to three working days for the orders that are dispatched in this way to be delivered to you.

Delivery - Cakes and Party Food
We deliver your orders for celebration cakes and party food on the date you select in the "Required Date" field when you place your order. However please note that you must give us sufficient notice when you place your order as follows:
  • All celebration cakes except wedding cakes : 3 working days
  • Wedding cakes: 2 weeks notice
  • Party food: 3 working days notice
In exceptional circumstances we might be able to accommodate for your requirements, so please do not hesitate to contact us to see if we can help with your last minute plans. ;-)

Please also note that although your cakes will be delivered on your chosen delivery date, however we cannot offer exact delivery times. Therefore if you require your cake for a specific time you'd better choose a delivery date for the day before. Where ever possible order your wedding cake for the day before.
All our cakes, except those with fresh cream, keep perfectly fresh in a cool dark place for at least three days. The fresh cream cakes must be kept refrigerated and consumed within three days.

Sundays and Public/Bank Holidays
 At the moment we do not deliver on Sundays and Public/Bank Holidays.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
Cakes are zero-rated and therefore all our cake prices do not include VAT. Other goods however, may include VAT; for such items, when the orders are made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
We don't carry out any on-line transaction processing. Nochex Online Payment Services carries out all debit/credit card transactions on our behalf and they don't pass any of your card details to us. Transactions will be subject to any terms and conditions Nochex may impose. If you wish to review their Privacy Policy you can find it at http://www.nochex.com/privacy/
When you enter your card details on Nochex web pages, the data is encrypted using 128 bit encryption, and is only decrypted after it reaches their servers.

In the unlikely event that your payment card is used fraudulently to make a purchase, you are entitled to cancel the said payment.

If you are not entirely satisfied with any product purchased from us, let us know and we will endeavour to deal with your concern as effectively and efficiently as possible.

We work very hard to produce the very best quality of product and service. Consequently, we have built up a large and loyal customer base who use St Nicholas Patisserie regularly. Your rights to see and update your personal data
You may request details of personal Information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the Information held on you please send us an email via the "Contact Us" section in this site, or write to us at the above address.

If you believe that any Information we are holding on you is incorrect, incomplete or out of date, please send us an email or write to us at the above address. We will correct any Information found to be incorrect as soon as possible. However, we cannot delete user information because of legal, regulatory and accounting requirements.
Returns Policy
We work hard at St Nicholas Patisserie to ensure your total satisfaction with our products.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm, however, please note that the 7 day cancellation rights under Distance Selling Regulations do not apply as the goods sold are perishable.

Cancellation
  • If you can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing the order, you will incur no charges and will get a full refund, provided that it is at least three working days prior to the date you have selected in "Required Date" field.
  • If you cancel your order less than three working days prior to the date you have selected in "Required Date" field, you will only get a refund for the delivery charge.
  • A £10.00 administration fee will always be withheld 24 hours after the order has been placed and paid for.

Changes and Alterations
  • Please check your order thoroughly before payment. We are happy to make any reasonable alterations you might decide 24 hours prior to dispatch/collection free of charge. By "reasonable" we mean minor changes such as the inscription on the cake or the colour of the inscription. However other changes to your order such as changing white sponge to chocolate sponge might not be possible, or if possible at all, might incur additional charges.

  • If an inscription colour or any other choice is left un-selected on your order then we reserve the right to use our own discretion.

Damaged Goods
  • You should inspect the goods when you receive them for damage. If you find any damage you must inform us at the time of receiving the goods.
  • Corrections and repairs to the cakes, including inscription mistakes, can be carried out on the same day in most cases. However, you are required to give us this opportunity and must let us know of the problem at the time of receiving your cake.
  • Complaints are very rare and we will endeavour to give all complaints our urgent attention. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible.
  • Cakes, or part of cakes, must be returned within 24 hours to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint.
  • On receipt of the returned goods we can elect to refund the purchase price or provide replacement goods at no cost to you. If we decide to provide replacement goods we will be deemed to have complied with our obligations under the contract and no claim can arise out of your rejection of the original goods.
  • The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake and delivery. Further compensation is not available.
Remittance Terms
We accept most major debit and credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Solo, Switch/Maestro, Visa Electron and Visa Debit (Delta). We also accept Nochex electronic payments.
We can only accept deposits on wedding cakes. 50% is due on order and the remaining balance is due two weeks prior to delivery. To find out more please call us on the above number.
